Please executing the following commands as root.

1. Download JDK (OpenJDK 11 recommended)

wget https://cdn.azul.com/zulu/bin/zulu11.50.19-ca-jdk11.0.12-linux.x86_64.rpm

2. Install
rpm -ivh zulu11.50.19-ca-jdk11.0.12-linux.x86_64.rpm

3. Confirm Java version
java -version

4. Download Spark Gateay:

cd /usr/local/bin
wget http://remotespark.com/view/SparkGateway.zip
unzip SparkGateway.zip

5. SUSE scripts (for reference):
cd ./SparkGateway
wget http://remotespark.com/view/SparkGateway_SUSE.sh
wget http://remotespark.com/view/SparkGateway_SUSE.service
chmod a+x SparkGateway_SUSE.sh

6. Confirm SparkGateay is working
java -jar SparkGateway.jar

You can see "Listeing on port: 80.." if it's working. If not, you may need to change the listeing port in gateway.conf (port=otherPort)

Ctrl+C to terminate the executing

7. Install as a service (for reference)

cp SparkGateway_SUSE.service /etc/systemd/system/SparkGateway.service
touch /etc/systemd/system/SparkGateway.service
chmod 664 /etc/systemd/system/SparkGateway.service

systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl enable SparkGateway
systemctl start SparkGateway

8. Stop the service
systemctl start SparkGateway

9. Check service status
systemctl status SparkGateway


A. Open port 80 on firewall
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT

B. Enable SSL on gateway
cd /usr/local/bin/SparkGateway

vi gateway.conf
Press I entering insert mode, and add the following 2 lines:
keyStore=keystore.jks
keyStorePassword=password
